Blades of Glory is a 2007 American sports comedy film directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck. The movie tells the story of two figure skaters, Jimmy MacElroy (played by Will Ferrell) and Chazz Michael Michaels (played by Jon Heder), who are both Olympic medalists in their own right. The film opens with a dramatic reenactment of the infamous "skate-gate" scandal, where Jimmy and Chazz are involved in a physical altercation on the ice, leading to the stripping of their gold medals.
